Fall + concrete floor = hurt very

Ooops, I did it again.

I fell at work. In August 2001, I fell though the floor, because of termite damage, that we were repairing. Yesterday, I was on a 2' step ladder, drilling with the angle drill to put the coaxial cable in for a satellite TV. I must have pushed the ladder in such a way, because it warped, and I went falling to the floor. I landed on my side and my back, perpendicular. Today my right arm, my right side + back, my right leg and my left knee are bothering me something fierce. I took off work, to recover from the fall.

I also went "Eviction Shopping" last night. Someone in the next street over got kicked out of their house. Their belongings were on the street, and after a certain amount of time, they are considered garbage and can be taken by anyone. I scored a dresser that was in good shape, and a love seat and chair that were in OK shape for Tim. My brother's roommate got some random odds and ends, including a old Panasonic fax machine.

Apparently Hurricane Rita is about to make landfall somewhere in Texas as a Cat 3 or Cat 4 storm. Already gas prices are going up in large chunks. I filled my truck up at $2.899 for midgrade at the Wawa. The thing that sucks is if I had drove closer to where I live, I could have got midgrade at either Citgo or Wawa for $2.819. Ooops. But already there have been 10-20 cent increases at pumps around town.

Also, another funny but true story out of Prince George's County. Aledgedly a school bus driver was caught driving drunk, with a .16 on the breath test, which is double the legal limit. The bottle of vodka was found in the bus too. This bus was hired by the Prince George's County Public Schools, as a contractor, to run some routes. The driver is being held with a $20K bond in the Prince George's County jail. Driving a school bus while drunk is So Prince George's County!

WTF is going on?

OK, Tara is living at my parents house now. She got kicked out of her parent's house Saturday night at 11 PM, after a fourway fight between her, her mom, her dad and her sister. Aparently each were fighting with each other. I predict that Tara will go home by the end of the week, after letting each member of the family cool off. My dad is driving Tara to work, and my mom is picking her up at Branch Ave. Metro in the evenings. I'm glad she is staying in a safe place with people that care about her. And I think she finds my bed at my parents house to be comfortable. LOL

Meanwhile, aparently, Tim knows Nerd John and his sister, Meghan. I have low oppinions of both of them, and if you can't say anything nice, you should not say it at all. I found this out at Edmund's going away party at the Brickseller in DC on Saturday night. Tim and I showed up, and Jessie, a guy I went to high school with was there. I asked how Jessie met Edmund, and it was though Pete, who met him though Meghan. BTW, the Tara mentioned above tried to date Pete for awhile. That was pretty bad. LOL

Oh yeah, and Canine John and I had a civil talk recently. That was interesting, considering I thought he thought that I had jumped the shark.

I decided to go with PNC Bank as my new bank. They don't charge a POS fee, and they refund ATM fees charged by other banks. The cost per month is $10, unless I can get direct deposit. I am trying to work with my main client to get direct deposit for their vendors. I liked how promptly I got my ATM/Debit card from them.

Today I kicked my workout routine up a notch. I increased my run speed from 4.3 MPH to 4.6 MPH for 30 minutes. My heart rate reached 170 BPM towards the end of the 30 minutes. I was very miserable with the walk/run speed, but this is the cost of getting into the Maryland State Police, I will do it with pride. Speaking of the MSP, I am planning on going in and talking to the barrack commander sometime after the first of October, to start getting me on ride alongs and get my application process going.

At least the Redskins beat the Cowboys. LOL. My poor Ravens are 0-2 right now. :-(

OK, I hope to blog more often, but I always say that. LOL. Good night friends.

Interestingly enough

I should have had a lot to say about the developments over the past few weeks. I am not happy about John Robberts being appointed as Chief Justice. I am glad to see the head of FEMA getting the boot. FEMA stands for Failure to Ever Manage Anything. I give Gov. Blanco a B- for her work, President Bush a B- for his direct work, and Mayor Naggin a B- for his work. Honestly, this was a mess that as much careful planning, could not go off without a hitch or two. My commentary though is, why were people not given a bus ride to the Astrodome before the storm hit?

On to my life. I just got back from Ocean City. I had a great weekend. I left Friday after work, and drove direct to the beach. I spent Saturday in the waves, Sunday relaxing, Monday in the waves, and Tuesday driving back to work. The water was warm, the surf was wicked hardcore, and the food good.

I got a new trainer last week. She is helping me get ready for the MSP agility test. I am right now on Week #5 of the MSP recomended running routine, which is two miles in 28 minutes. My new routine is getting me sore, but, tylonol is helping with that.

I am getting a new bank. I've decided to go with PNC, because they don't charge a POS fee everytime I use my check card in a debit function. I don't want to pay $.50 everytime I go to Sams Club. That's insane.

I guess that's everything for now. I will try to blog more often. Good night friends.
