Crab Legs, Kings Dominion and Fat People.

First off, Saturday was a wreck. The McDonalds in Morningside screwed my lunch order up. I had ordered a chicken club sandwitch, grilled, with no tomato. I got a crispy club sandwitch, with tomato, but no bacon. I discovered it when I got to Capitol Hill, and just ate the thing. On my way home from work, I went to Giant, to get alaskan snow crab legs and alcohol swabs. The seafood department is open from 9 AM - 8 PM on Saturdays. I got to the store at 7:40 and found that there were people in line, and there was a sign that said "Seafood Department Closed". I went to the front of the store and pointed this out. I was directed to the head cashier who told me "The only seafood department person has been working since 9 AM, we had to relieve him with a cashier, and so we closed the department down early." After working eight hours in a hot basement, I was not happy. I said that's unreasonable, because if you have a cashier working to finish out the people in line, they could easilly keep it open until the closing hours of the department. I walked out of the store, angry, that they did not have full service as promised. I had planned on calling the Giant management to complain today, but work prevented me from getting around to it. Then I went to CVS to try to get the alcohol swabs for my dad. After looking on the shelves where the bottles of rubbing alcohol and bandages were, I found nothing. I went to the front of the store and asked the clerk and she told me "We don't sell them." I walked out of CVS, angry. Then I went to Safeway, to try for a second time to get alcohol swabs. But my first stop was the mens room, because with the 2+ gallons of water I am drinking a day, nature calls often. When I finished washing my hands, there were no paper towels left. I did manage to get the alcohol swabs, but I had to wait in a line ten people deep. After working in the heat, I was not happy.

Sunday was Kings Dominion. Just Tim and I went, and we had a good time. We still have yet to get on Volcano, but we got a good number of rides in on the other coasters. We also hit the water park, twice, to cool down in the heat. I deviated from my diet on Sunday, but I kept with drinking plenty of water, to help loose weight. On the way back, I stopped to get gas in Dahlgren VA, where midgrade was $2.19 a gallon, a full $.30 cheaper than gas is here in Prince George's County. That was a welcome relief for my wallet, where the normal fill up for my truck sets me back over $80.

Today was a trip back to Capitol Hill. I finally got the dry wall mudded for the bathroom. On my way home, the check engine light came on in my truck, which for a vehicle with just 20,600 miles on it seems very very odd. I'm not happy with the squeek when the truck is in reverse and now the check engine light. I'll have one more call to make tomorow before I go to work at the rental property.

Tonight I went to the gym at 10 PM, a late start. I noticed that this is when most of the overweight people were in the gym. I actually did not feel self concious about having a small belly, because mine was the smallest of all the guys in there. It also is a good time to cool down from working all day. I timed that I can do 32 sit-ups in a minute on my first set, and 25 sit-ups on my second set. I'm able to do 20 pushups, elevated, in aproximately a minute. I'm getting closer to meeting the MSP agility standards, which is very important to me. I'm really driven about this whole State Trooper thing. Tonight I was sore, just from walking around Kings Dominion all day yesterday and then working on my feet all day today. I just reminded myself that I want this State Trooper thing, I must go to the gym, no matter how sore or tired I am. It helps that my friends and family are behind me 100%, pushing me to do better, but even in my mind, I want it for myself, completely and totally. After the gym, I went to Wendy's and got a side ceasar salad and a 5 piece chicken nugget as my late dinner. I've been cuting back on my portions, that's plenty of food to keep me going into the night. I notice, except for the soreness, I feel better lately, and I seem to be sleeping more regular hours.

It is time for me to go to bed. Good night to all and to all a good night.
